Islamic extremists have issued a fatwa against Shabhaz Bhatti, a Catholic who serves as Pakistan’s minister for religious minorities. Bhatti is leading a commission that will consider changes to the nation’s blasphemy law. “My life mission is to protect religious freedom, minority rights, justice and equality,” Bhatti told the Fides news agency. The Minister says about himself: “I am deeply religious, and the Pope’s words are very important in my life”.

I was intrigued at the link to the "ReligiousFreaks" website whose mission "grew out of my growing disdain for religion and the hatred and ignorance it breeds". A scan of the photograph featuring Muslims holding anti-Catholic placards indicates that the photograph was taken by the side of the Westminster RC Cathedral in London during a protest against the Regensburg lecture. A scroll down the home page of the "ReligiousFreaks" website reveals an article entitled "Mary: Holy Mother of God" displaying an amply proportioned bare breasted "Virgin Mary". This lamentable website's philosophy is well summed up by its own motto, "Have faith in yourself".
