I think we already know that this kumbayah bishop is flakey. What's even more interesting is who denied this priest's appeal? What were the reasons? Wouldn't you all wanna know? I do.

Bishop Nourrichard by his actions has shown himself to be an enemy of the Church. There is no excuse for his actions other than one saying he is ignorant and "knows not what he does" and if this is the case HE SHOULD NOT BE A BISHOP! What this man is doing is hurtful to the Catholic Church and he should either come out in public and explain that his actions were wrong or be defrocked if he is this ignorant of his religious duty.

Irrespective of the grievances against the Bishop of Évreux - the behaviour of the laity in the Church of Thiberville was truly scandalous. The booing during the Sign of the Cross and the accusations BELLOWED at Bishop Nourrichard in front of the Tabernacle were a disgrace. I've never witnessed such lack of discipline by the laity before a Bishop of Holy Mother Church.

@ Sofia - Hi! Nope..... I'm just trying to get away from pronouncing judgement upon an anointed of God (albeit an unagreeable one....) - tis not our place (unless one or other of us is a Cardinal or at least a Curial Prelate!). Therefore, the most important thing for me is that Fr Michel gets to just resume his ministry elsewhere; this is the more important thing. We leave the erring Bishop up to GOd and His Church's authority on earth.

Do you mean that the story could have been as following: the Bishop assigned Fr. Michel to a bigger parish so that he could have more faithful participating in the Tridentine Liturgy, thus fulfilling the wish of the Holy Father that the Bishops in all manners promote the love for this Liturgy. And Father Michel simply out of modesty, rebelled.

Gregory, it's not a question about leaving the Church. The traditionalists have NEVER left the Church nor am I planning to leave the Church. Hummmm....... this video does not say whether or not Fr Michel, upon leaving the Parish (under the stated conditions), would be able to resume a ministry under the Extraordinary Form. If Fr Michel can do so, I see no difficulty with this situation; his flock can just follow him to his new church. On the other hand, if he is denied a ministry in the Extraordinary Form, then we have a problem. P.S. I'd rather be in an irregular position with the Church and be 100% Catholic than this B.S. that we keep seeing and hearing in the Novus Ordo.

Oh dear...... The First Daugher of the Chirstian West is manifestly quite ill isn't she....? These things causes one to consider whether or not a Third Oecumenical Council of the Vatican is required to just put an END to all this nonsense!!
