The Trinitarian Mystery of the Christian Vocation.

On the afternoon of Friday, March 4, Benedict XVI visited the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary on the occasion of the First Vespers on the Feast of Our Lady of Trust. The solemnity is celebrated on the Saturday before Lent. The community welcomed the Holy Father with warmth and joy. After greeting the seminary Rector, Monsignor Giovanni Tani, and invoking the Holy Spirit with the chant "Veni Creator Spiritus", the Holy Father read a passage from the Letter of St. Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians, focusing on vocation. The Pope said it is not only a personal call, but also ecclesial: God calls us into a community, the Church he said, and Jesus is the mediator of the call of the Father through the Holy Spirit. The Pope added that the call of every Christian is a Trinitarian mystery, open to the mystery of the Trinity.
