O well done EJGCatholic!! Indeed... 👏 The problems in the Church are more than just these. For example, I just heard from an Austrian mate that 8 priests in his Diocese just 'came out' as having girl-firends (live in). Instead of the ministers of the Church standing tall like a beacon of hope and Truth, her ministers undermine Her foundation at every turn thus dimming her light. Keep the prayers going!! 🙂

well, holyrope, the cross (and also the non- or improper ending the Gospel reading ) are the least of Father Odons problems, being from the movement of "Lay, Monastic, Benedictine Community" of CARYANA
so some Caution about Fr Odons/kimtaegons videos( i can not find any current Status for 2009 just up to 2007

From the Philipines, Fr. Odon de Castro has devoted his blog, Gloria Oliva, "to promote the messages of Pope Benedict XVI and harness small monastic Benedictine communities in his and the service of the Church." [Update According to one reader, the community to which this blogger Fr Odon belongs is presently in schism, a legal document
noting in part:"Unfortunately, the Caryana Movement was denied canonical recognition and its spiritual director [Fr. Odon de Castro] was himself expelled from the Benedictine order and stripped of his priestly functions by the Archbishop of Manila, Jaime Cardinal Sin."
For further details, see this discussion from Vita Brevis
(January 12, 2006)]. "I thank our reader for their word of caution. I guess one can never too be careful. It looks to be a promising blog -- as Vita Brevis noted, there is a certain irony in a schismatic who blogs in support of the Pope. The least we can do is pray for de Castro's reunion with Mother Rome." 2006
The Caryana movement (cult is a better word) is not recognized by the Catholic Church in the Philippines because of its practice of consecrating pre-pubescent boys as monks. Fr. Odon De Castro appeals to the "example of the Fathers", as if the law of the Church on these matters has not undergone development since the first centuries. They also allow entire families -- husband, wife and children -- to enter their monastery as monastics.

Caryana celebrates the Novus Ordo Latin, adding of cousre to the popular Filipino perception that Latin is only for schismatics(SSPX) and fringe groups. Does that tell you why I don't like them?

So they offer the Novus Ordo Missae (New Mass, Paul VI liturgy) and nót the Traditional Latin Mass, they have Millenialist tendencies (which is an example of a possibly heretical orientation).

I would shun them, in that I would not join their community ever. But they nevertheless seem sincere and, for Novus Ordo clergymen, quite orthodox and well-meaning. They look like nice people, well-intended Roman Catholics, and just the victims of an somtimes too authoritarian Jaime Cardinal Sin and Philippine clergy (who are known to be very political since the 1890s). He is a victim if you lok at it from that view.

But I would not join them or link to them."-quotes

Christ dies in the tree (wood). Not on glass or plexiglass as you have on your table. A priest should know better than to have such a thing a thing.
This is why the Traditional Latin Mass is what many, many, more people are seeking for.More
