Muslim Extremism in Indonesia.
This is a scene from Jakarta, Indonesia in 2005. Three christian women (Rebecca Loanita, Etty Pangesti and Ratna Mala Bangun) had organized a 'Happy Weekend' event that included songs, games, and outings for christian children, but which non-christian children were allowed to attend and some did. Muslim militant groups were angry with this and wanted the women to be killed.
Indonesia, while officially secular, is the world's largest muslim nation and Islamic extremism has unfortunately found a home across the archipelago, which the government has given a significant amount of tolerance towards. Many christians have suffered as a result of persecution by such groups, and some christians have also inflicted violence against muslims in return; the government has executed some of these christians by firing squads (although they may have shot the wrong people), however the muslims have relative impunity.
