2010 Triple Ordination Cathedral Mass in Vancouver.

Archdiocese of Vancouver, BC's rare triple-ordination Mass. Portions of it were aired nationally on Salt+Light Television in Canada a few days later. (May, 2010)

It was a day of great joy, especially given by the schola of Holy Family Parish (FSSP) in Vancouver, directed by Mark Donnelly (hear them also, recently, here:Traditional Latin Confirmation Highlights)

This video was produced for actuality, designed like a smorgasbord so the editor could "cherry pick" what the network wanted to air for broadcast. You'll see how that lays out.

I recorded it on a Saturday Morning in Vancouver and it was included in their broadcast the following Tuesday (could have been Monday, but they had other news priorities).

Because this video was only ever broadcast on one newscast and it has been on a private YouTube URL since, it has only ever had 7 views in all that time, (though portions were also broadcast nationally.)

So enjoy a sunny Saturday morning visit to our beautiful Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver on a day of great joy for the whole Archdiocese, and witness the eternal marking of that unique character onto three mens' souls, configuring them eternally to Christ!

Note the shots showing the absolutely packed Cathedral. It's only supposed to hold about 800, but it was definitely S.R.O.

Interviews with the brand new priests near the end.

NB: the filmmakers received the very first blessing of Fr. Noteboos (tallest) in the sacristy as some 40 priests de-vested. A very wonderful, memorable atmosphere to experience, especially after such a special Mass!

(Filmmakers note: I "cheated" the sunrise; we "froze the sun in the sky" at daybreak for the entire 1:45 liturgy! PM me and I'll share exactly how.)
