At a press conference, Bishop Juan Antonio Martínez Camino, the secretary of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, with clear irony commented on the abortifacient-friendly bishops of Germany. He said: "If there is a pill that prevents a conception in cases of rape, then it is licit to prevent it. However, We have no knowledge of a morning-after pill without abortifacient effects. .... All morning-after pills have this possible abortive effect. Therefore, its use is illicit. If it does exist in Germany, we are not aware of it. It is not known to us that this technical possibility exists." Rorate coeli comments: “In a few words, the charade of the German Episcopal Conference, seconded by the ignorant statement of Bp. Carrasco, against the official and formal view of his own Pontifical Academy for Life, is thus aptly dismantled.

Fr. Dariusz Oko is a priest of the Archdiocese of Krakow and Assistant Professor at the John Paul II Pontifical University in Krakow. Recently he published a paper about his discovery quote “of a huge homosexual underground in the Chruch”. Fr.Oko stated that he began his work as a struggle against a deadly, external threat to Christianity – homosexuality -, but then gradually discovered that “the enemy is not only outside the Church, but within it, as well. Leading an inquiry for a seminarian molested by his ordinary in Poland, Fr. Oko said he was being blocked at lower levels of local and Vatican hierarchy. Fr. Oko stated that homosexuals at the Vatican being afraid of being exposed are building cliques offering to each other mutual support. Father concludes: “When they achieve a decision-making position, they try to promote and advance mostly those whose nature is similar to theirs, or at least who are known to be too weak to oppose them.” Gloria.tv believes that public statements like those of Fr. Oko are crucial to exposing and eventually dismantling the “lavender mafia” within the Church. Hearing about homosexuality within the Catholic Church from a layman is one thing. Hearing about a homosexual underground within the Catholic Church from a Catholic priest who has first hand knowledge of the subject is an entirely different and much more credible matter.

USA

Catholic Dominican Providence College in Rhode Island, United States, invited anti-racist educator and writer Tim Wise to speak on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Wise used the opportunity not only to address racism, but also to attack the Catholic Church. He said that the Catholic Church was directly involved in the slaughter of Native Americans. His remarks, which received applause, included: “The Church was directly implicated in sending indigenous children to boarding schools to strip them of their culture, to cut their hair, to kill the Indian and save the man for Jesus.” Wise continued: “We can actually say that the Church has some blood on its hands that it must now atone for, and it doesn’t get to atone for it by simply carrying the cross and saying we’re all made in the image of God. We’ve made the image of God a white man, and it’s on crucifixes at this college.” Gloria.TV believes that either Tim Wise harbors some deep seated irrational hatred for not merely the Catholic Church but also for white men. Or, he simply knows that there is a growing market for bigotry toward Catholicism and for white men and he is selling his hateful act to whatever organizations (like the Catholic Dominican College in Rhode Island) that are willing to pay the right price.

In the name of Overpopulation, the government of the U.S. continues to export abortion, sterilization and contraception to relatively innocent, untouched corners of the world.
