Too Small: There is good news for the troubled French community of Saint Jean. One year ago, two French sisters of the Apostolic Sisters of St. John established their first U.S. novitiate house in rural Princeville, in the Peoria diocese, Illinois. Only a few days after arriving they were joined by three postulants and more are “knocking on the door.” Now their house is too small. Therefore, the Sisters of St. John are hoping to build a larger convent and chapel. Supporters can help by attending a benefit dinner on Saturday, Oct. 26. The goal is to have a convent that can house 10 to 15 sisters.

Very Serious: The Vatican is willing to collaborate with the Dominican Republic regarding an investigation against the former Apostolic Nuncio, archbishop Joseph Wesolowski who is accused of homosexual abuses against adolescents. Dominican Cardenal López Rodríguez said to the media of his country that he has received the allegations against Wesolowski – quote: “This is a very serious situation. If there is critical evidence, then nothing needs to be discussed. I have never defended what is indefensible. "

Up and Down: The Diocese of Pittsburgh announced on Thursday that Catholic school enrollment this fall dropped by 800 students to 20,000, a decline of more than 3 percent. The enrollment figure counts students in pre-kindergarten through high school with the decrease primarily in the lower grades. At the same time, enrollment at Calgary's Catholic schools, Canada, has increased significantly this year and teachers say they're worried about class sizes. New enrollment figures show an extra 2,000 students in Calgary's Catholic schools for this fall.

Dismissed: The Bloc Quebecois party, a Canadian separatists group, on Thursday expelled a Catholic MP for speaking out against the controversial measure of Premier Pauline Marois to bar all Quebec public servants from wearing religious symbols. Maria Mourani, an African-born Montrealer of Lebanese descent who wears a crucifix, had blasted the plans. Mourani said the measure would divide Quebecers, as well as the sovereignty movement. Mourani has now joined a new umbrella group called "Sovereigntists for an Inclusive Secularism." Mourani's dismissal leaves the party with just four MPs in Parliament and none in Montreal.

The female members of Gloria probably enjoyed the presence of a male news announcer but it may be best that he doesn't appear too often. Temptation, you know, may lead to desire which then could lead to sin.

It was nice to have a male newscaster for a week. But let's give him a rest. 😁

I thought the male newscaster did a great job! Nothing taking away from the beautiful ladies, of course.

Cardenal López Rodríguez needs to resign. Only a fool would not taken direct action "before" this became public knowledge. Cardenal López Rodríguez needs to resign. Only a fool would not taken direct action "before" this became public knowledge. Cardenal López Rodríguez may be a homosexual himself or has just looked the other way for years. His actions have clearly supported the homosexual activity within the priests under his authority. Again he needs to be fired and the people who selected him for his position also need to be removed. May God have mercy on us because we have allowed this type of leadership to rule within Christs Church!
