Alleged Bling Bishop is Innocent: In a worldwide media campaign Bishop Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst of Limburg, Germany, was called a – quote - bling bishop. Throughout the campaign Gloria.tv has sustained the bishop’s innocence. Now, according to media reports, he has been exonerated by a fact-finding commission. Nevertheless, he will not be able to go back into his diocese. Why? Because his powerful liberal enemies are still there.

Praying While on Facebook: Sean-Patrick Lovett, a program director with Vatican Radio flew into the Philippines from Rome to lead a seminar on social media for bishops. Lovett’s comment after the session: "I've never seen bishops so happy and so excited. They were taking pictures of themselves and putting them on Facebook." And: "Some bishops said to me, 'I'm afraid I might become addicted to Facebook. Then they asked: 'If I become addicted, can I pray while I'm on Facebook?'"

Short Memory: “The mainstream media has a short memory when it comes to seagulls attacking doves set free by the Pope from the Vatican balcony as it happened on Sunday” – Judi McLeod writes on canadafreepress.com. According to her exactly the same fate was dealt to a dove released by Benedict XVI in January 2013. A scavenger seagull swooped in and attacked the dove as soon as Benedict released it.

Applause from His Congregation: Monsignor Martin Ryan apologized Sunday for the recent Connecticut Post story detailing sexual assault and harassment allegations against him. Monsignor received resounding applause from his congregation. "I'm very upset with the article” – Ryan said. He was removed from his former parish in June 2011 after acknowledging he sent "inappropriate" emails to a female parish employee.
