No Mercy: The prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Archbishop Gerhard Ludwig Müller, has said to an Austrian press agency that the door for the reconciliation with the SSPX is still open. According to Müller the Congregation accompanies the reconciliation efforts with quote «patience and firmness». During his time as bishop of Regensburg, Germany, Müller was a declared enemy of the SSPX.
Euthanasia for children: On Thursday the Belgian House of Representatives will allow euthanasia by lethal injection for children as young as elementary school pupils. Euthanasia for adults is allowed since 2002. The new law makes it possible to kill children who - quote - “suffer greatly” from “incurable illness” and “are capable of reasoning”. A minimum age for euthanasia candidates has not been fixed.
Bankruptcy Protection Aftermath: The liabilities of the bankrupt Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena are almost 35 million dollars. This is more than twice its assets. On January 31 the diocese filed for bankruptcy protection. Among other things it lists among its property 39 vehicles. Bishop Georg Leo Thomas drives a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

To me this, seems like nothing more than a political maneuver/gesture at this point.
I know it has been only a year, since Pope Benedict XVI walked away from the Seat of Peter. Compared to the Benedict XVI pontificate, it feels like the Church has regressed 30 years with respect to Orthodoxy.

I know it has been only a year, since Pope Benedict XVI walked away from the Seat of Peter. Compared to the Benedict XVI pontificate, it feels like the Church has regressed 30 years with respect to Orthodoxy.
From what I know of the SSPX it is not just the Traditional Latin Mass, but more too the point all that it represents.{Beside a Proper and Holy public Worship to God} Catholic Orthodoxy and Apostolic Catholic Tradition....not what appears to be that important in Rome nowadays.
I do not attend the SSPX .
