As we are now in the season of Lent, a season of prayer and penance, I thought I would
upload a video on the subject of prayer. It takes a particularly gifted speaker to address
an audience of teenagers who are experiencing great changes in their lives. The spiritual,

The prayer book referred to by Archimandrite Irenei in his talk is the “Prayer Book of the
Holy Trinity Monastery” which uses traditional English rather than contemporary English.
Archimandrite Irenei does use some technical words: “troparia / hymns” and “kontakia /
chants”. In essence, the book is excerpts from the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom.
