A who's who of pro-life politicians and leaders spoke at the I Stand With PFL Rally May 8 in front of the D.C. District Court of Appeals while oral arguments were heard inside. Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, and Dr. Alveda King, director of African-American Outreach, joined attorneys Rob Muise and David Yerushalmi of the American Freedom Law Center in the courtroom. When they emerged after more than an hour of arguments, Father Pavone said he felt the panel of three judges was even-handed in their questioning of lawyers on both sides. It's not known when the ruling will be announced. Father Pavone reiterated his vow not to obey the mandate regardless of the ruling in court.
