Taize movement is not Catholic in any meaningful sense of the word. It is difficult to see how participating in a movement that eschews confessional ties and seeks no formal union with the Church of Rome does not violate the prescription of Canon 209 that Catholics maintain communion with the Church "even in their own manner of acting." Even if participating in Taize activities does not break communion, it is hard to see how it promotes it.

Francis could "drop another bomb" by offering the traditional Latin Mass.

The lesbian signed her contract stating to be an "example of Moral Behavior." Her definition of Moral comes from the book of Satan. Fight the good fight..keep her away from the children!

This literally makes me sick...What have the bishops and cardinals been doing about the persecuted Christians in all the Arab countries? What? About as much as the Barack Hussein has done..Nothing!

When people see this modern ugliness in their Churches, do they not wonder too about the modern mass? Do they not contemplate these modern changes and see what they truly are and where they come from? We must ask ourselves that and we must educate one another about these abuses. And the abuses taking place in the modern mass...This is why we can be sure of giving all glory and honor to our Lord assisting at the traditional Latin Mass, where there is no room for abuse. But only beauty and … [More]

Taize movement is NOT Catholic! ....Can. 210. All the Christian faithful must direct their efforts to lead a holy life and to promote the growth of the Church and its continual sanctification according to their own condition......The Christian faithful are not directed to work for the buildup of some concept "Christendom" or "Christianity" in general; they are called to "promote the growth of the Church" in particular.

What is this? Another "ecumenical community"? The Taize movement is Not Catholic in any meaningful sense of the word. Nor are these Taize appropriate in parishes. It is Not formally in union with the Church and the Popes have had no intention in obtaining so.

"Do you desire that all people become Catholic, Yes or No?"
Good question to ask... there's a priest here that works as a chaplain at a local hospital. I asked him when he visits the sick does he talk to them about the faith? He said, "No, I would never do that!" and then he chuckled about it.

This is a great way to teach the true faith, like he said, "we haven't received in the last fifty years." It's the people who can make a difference.

Rep. Chris Smith will be ostracized for this one! Good job, my man!

Excellent article. I knew one priest who was considered to become a bishop along with Gumbleton at the same time. This priest was loved by his people, genuinely cared for their souls and would have given anyone the shirt off his back if needed. But, nope..Gumbleton got the position. What a loss.
