A day after his comments to the Des Moines Register about abortion and legislation to restrict it, Mitt Romney put a finer point on the issue when reporters grabbed him on a rope line in Ohio, per the pool report:

"I think I've said time and again that I'm a pro-life candidate and I'll be a pro-life president. The actions  I'll take immediately is to remove funding for Planned Parenthood.  It will not be part of my budget. And also  I 've indicated that I will reverse the Mexico City position of the president. I will reinstate the Mexico City policy which keeps us from using foreign aid for abortions overseas."

Romney's form, if not substance entirely, have been drifting more toward the center over the last two weeks, most notably in his debate last week with President Obama. But this comment underscores one of his harder-right positions, ahead of the next face-off.
