They are 2 totally different videos. My point is that although this is a Catholic site, many non-Catholic videos are featured. Evidently, as long as the video features a hound and not a beautiful young women, nobody complains.

The “sexual overtones” you speak of are simply a young, attractive female whose legs are fully exposed. I wasn't tempted to sin against chastity by this image. Were you? If not then I'd suggest you drop the “sexual overtones” business.

Look, the point is that Gloria.tv features many different kinds of videos and not all of them are strictly Catholic. For you, the above video is offensive. For me, it's very funny because of it's realism. It could actually happen in real life and therein lies its commercial effectiveness.

Nope....all we see is a sketch based on a dog owner's breakfast with the help of her pet; completely innocent and void of all sexual overtones, indecency, etc.....

This is the problem, you may find "Nonna, apri la porta" funny - fine, but is it appropriate for Gloria.tv? The answer, based on the example of Gloria.tv, i.e. Doina's videos, is quite negetive.

If the appropriateness of the video were “quite negative” then not only was I at fault for posting such a thing but the entire administration of Gloria is at fault for permitting it to be posted and also to be featured.

The bottom line is that this video is a matter of taste and about taste I quote the following: De gustibus non est disputandum.

p.s. I like the expression thinking "outside the box." Unfortunately some posters, as seen on this thread, are so far from thinking "outside the box" they are the box itself. Why? In my opinion it's the fault of a contrived idea of what it means to be a Christian. If we truly believe what we claim to beleive, then we ought to be filled with joy and hope not pettiness or fault finding.

Evidently you're a slow learner and you felt compelled to get in one more dig.

To insure domestic tranquility, avoid me and I will do likewise with you. I have found this to be a most effective way of dealing with obsessive,
argumentative, and hostile individuals (some of whom posted on this thread) especially those who are devoid of a sense of humor.

In my final words to you, you may want to consider that not everything in life is the equivalent to a Solemn High Pontifical Mass. Not everything posted at Gloria.tv is nor should it be Gregorian Chant, the travels of Benedict, the Latin mass or even more info on abortion, homosexuality, or the latest statement from the Vatican on AIDS. Although some very simple narrow minds would approve of limiting and censoring content, Gloria.tv would be terribly dull if that were the case.

There is such a thing as HUMOR which is obviously a concept that is lost on morose pitiful individuals who see little joy in life and who, because of their own negativity, focus primarily on the dark side of things. Interestingly, these same narrow minds simultaneously seek conflict with those who would dare to disagree with their prideful opinions. I, as best as I can, avoid these hostile individuals although Freud would have loved to have analyzed them.

Fortunately, the administration of Gloria.TV realizes that there is more to life than the Pope and Gregorian chant. If you don't like their policy of permitting off beat, eclectic and humorous videos, then start your own website where only videos approved by Benny and Co. will be accepted.

For the producers of the video, the bottom line was would this be a successful marketing strategy or not? Evidently it worked. If the woman featured were fat and ugly, you and your fellows would find nothing to complain about even though, there is no nudity, it is not pornographic and nothing portrayed was illicit or illegal. Interesting how so many American Catholics are so prudish and puritanical about things sexual. Thank God for the Italians.
