Modesty a myth? In my humble opinion it seems Christine Niles continues along the same path she previously plodded. Legally, she is probable correct. Historically, she is probably correct. She forgets, however, what Our Lady told us from her Son; that fashions would develop in the 20th century which would greatly offend Him. The average person has no concept of how to dress modestly, we need guidelines. Leaving modesty guidelines up to the laity is why we are in this mess in the first place.

Mrs. Michael Voris wannabee? This woman is a disgrace.

@Simon North Why is she a disgrace? She is advocating for modest dress and quoting papal documents. Are you promoting guilt by association? I do not understand.

@The Wandering Recluse I think that she said that the specific quidelines quoted were refering to religious. General guidelines do vary somewhat by culture and geography. I was raised on the island of Java just north of the equator where european style modest clothing for both men and women would be absurd. Men are also called to modest dress

If those are guidelines for specific women religious, then how great the need for modesty in women in secular society who are in the presence of men as they go about.
