Vatican

On Friday, during their eighth congregation, the Cardinals discussed topics such as Interreligious dialogue particularly with Islam, the challenges of bioethics, the – quote - "joyous announcement of God's love and mercy" or a Church that is close to where people live. On the occasion of the Socialist Women’s Day on March 8th they spoke about the role of women in the Church. The Cardinals also talked about the importance of the laity in the new evangelization, the importance of Justice and the fight against poverty. Nevertheless, the hope remains that the new pope will tackle the true problems of the Church which are making Faith of primary importance, teaching the Catholic Faith in Theological Faculties, reforming Seminaries and, most important, naming more orthodox bishops.

Emponymous Flower has published a picture of U.S. Cardinal Theodore Edgar McCarrick's pectoral cross as he attended a prayer at Saint Peter's Basilica on March 6. Fr Ray Blake comments: “I know nothing about McCarrick but choosing a distorted image of the Saviour as costume jewelry is something he obviously feels is important. It is both theology and culture of rupture on a chain.

Switzerland

Last week news outlets quoted the spokesman of the Swiss bishop’s conference Walter Mueller in which he claimed that the Swiss Bishops approved the abortive morning after pill in the case of rape victims. Now Mueller has published a denial. According to him the bishops did not yet make a decision. They are still waiting for an evaluation from their commission on bioethics.

Italy

Father Andrea Gallo, an 84-year old Italian Catholic priest and gay rights advocate has called for the election of a homosexual Pope. According to him, this would be – quote - “a magnificent thing”. Being the founder of Genoa's drug rehab community, he once joined a protest against drug laws by smoking marijuana in the city hall. Gallo claims that a homosexual priest must be able to express himself; otherwise the "repression" of homosexual clerics has led the way to pedophilia. As a matter of fact: Pedophilia has exploded along with the gay-liberation-movement. Gloria.TV wonders that if Fr. Gallo was willing to smoke pot as part of a protest against drug laws, what is he planning to do to advance homosexual rights?

Why was gay-lovin, pot smokin Fr' Gallo allowed to remain a priest? Guess the same reason the Lavender Mafia remains. Pray this new pope ousts all these poofers.

Those stories, along with your great editorial comments, were a real eye opener.
We really must pray for our Cardinals.

Good for you Fr. Ray Blake, for calling attention to cardinal McCarrick's distorted and sickening 'cross'.
Read, "Good-bye Good Men... Don't think Rembert Weakland was the only gay Bishop in the USCCB...It goes higher than that. The 'activities' of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick are public knowledge and well known.More
