Joe Biden doesn't kiss up to anyone — whether a queen or a pope.

The vice president told a gathering of Irish-Americans in New York City on Thursday that as a young U.S. senator he was to meet the queen of England.

He remembers getting a call from his mother, who told him not to kiss the queen's ring.

Years later, when he was to meet Pope John Paul II, Biden says his mother told him not to kiss the pope's ring.

Biden, a Roman Catholic descended from struggling Irish immigrants, says his dad said it was "all about dignity."

Biden says his mother told him that no one is "better" than him. And while Biden should treat everyone with respect, his mother said her son should also "demand respect."

Maybe thats the problem..Joe feels he has to DEMAND respect because he knows there's no way possible he can earn it! Biden and his entourage just spent 2 nights in February at 5 star hotels in London and Paris costing American taxpayers over 1 Million $$$$ according to the Weekly Standard.
And these yo-yo's also spending taxpayer money of over 1.5Million $$$ studying why Lesbian women are overweight …More

No wonder Biden is such a goofus. It's just a symbolic gesture of respect toward an authority that is no different than when people rise when the President enters a room.

I'll bet the White House photographer has lots of pictures of Biden kissing Obamas ring (among other things). And I know that Biden stands when the President enters the room, I've seen him do it. So then I guess, according to his mother advice, Obama is "better" than he is.

Of course, as much as it pains me to say it, I think I would agree with that assessment.

Why would his Irish Catholic mother tell such a thing about not kissing the Popes ring.

That's a great honor to old school Catholics like is mother.

Besides Joe Biden has proved over and over he has no dignity or class.
