He entered England as a Jesuit priest during a time when it was illegal to be a Catholic Priest in England. He ministered to the persecuted recusant Catholics there, bringing them the Eucharist and travelling in secret. Without Saint Edmund Campion and other priests like him we would not have had the Sacraments in England. Campion wrote his famous 'brag' and 'ten reasons' a lot of text of which is used in the dialogue of this particular film giving excellent apologetics and arguments for the Truth of the Catholic Faith.
