Pope Speaks Again about the Devil

Yesterday, Pope Francis has again mentioned the devil during his Wednesday audience. He said about Jesus Christ: We've got one who always defends us, who defends us from the devil's snares, defends us from ourselves, from our sins!

The Church Did Not Reach out to Margaret Thatcher

Yesterday Damian Thompson wrote on his blog: If only the Church of England had paid Mrs Thatcher the courtesy of taking her Christianity seriously when she was in power.” According to Thompson Thatcher pushed through policies that caused suffering. But many Christian leaders shunned her, out of a mixture of genuine horror and empty grandstanding. At no stage did it occur to the Church of England to debate Christian ethics with the then Prime Minister, who would have been more than happy to do so. Thompson believes that perhaps some policy mistakes could have been avoided if the bishops were prepared to engage with Thatcherism instead of winning cheap applause by misrepresenting it.

In France Catholics and other people of good will are fighting against Socialist president François Holland’s will to abolish marriage and introduce, what he calls a “marriage for everybody”. This is a search warrant for Holland published by family-activists on the French Blog Salon Beige. It says: “This man has not been seen for 10 days. If you notice him, call immediately the journalists. He needs to take back a law in order to protect kids.

Paris: Fight Against Gay-Marriage

A group that calls itself Hommen – as opposed to Femen – has protested in Paris against the introduction of Gay marriage wanted by socialist president François Holland. They blocked rue de Rivoli during more than 20 minutes until a massive contingent of policemen appeared.
