Cardinal Müller: “Israel’s Right to Exist Must Never Be Called into Question”
As a political, economic, technological, and military superpower, the United States bears a distinctive responsibility to contain dangerous regimes and dictatorships that pose a grave threat to the world. This position was articulated by Cardinal Gerhard Müller on Kath.net on 14 April.
He continues: “In light of present circumstances, the brutal crimes committed against one’s own people and against other nations must be confronted - not only through economic sanctions, but, where necessary, by military means.”
Cardinal Müller even draws a parallel with the Nazis: “The policy of appeasement toward Adolf Hitler proved catastrophic and exacted a devastating toll in World War II.”
Turning to Iran, Müller states: “The Iranian regime must be unequivocally denounced worldwide as a perversion of religion - religion which is ordered toward the worship of God and must never, in any form, be exploited to justify killing …

Leo XIV "Interested" in Solving Tensions around Roman Rite - French Bishop
During the January consistory, Leo XIV told Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline of Marseille, France, of his wish to explore avenues for resolving the tensions surrounding the Roman rite, La-croix.com reports, citing anonymous sources.
One bishop, who also wished to remain anonymous, said that Leo XIV is allegedly "extremely interested in the question and asked us to think something through".
Another bishop, who has spoken with Leo XIV about the Roman rite, said that "for the Pope, what is done in France serves as a model" for other countries.
"It is the first time I have heard so clearly that the subject must be addressed at a theological level and not just in a pastoral and emotional way," he added.
Another anonymous bishop, from the southeast, said: "Behind the attraction to beauty and the sacred, there is a whole theological debate that some do not perceive: a distant God versus a God who draws near - encompassing a …
Magnificent observation! If they agreed to be in communion with the "novus ordo", they must submit. And this is in accordance with the teachings of all the Popes prior to the heretical CVII.
"We Made Liturgy a Place of Battle" - Cardinal Sarah
The Church is “nothing without God” and exists to save souls and nourish them through the sacraments, Cardinal Robert Sarah, 80, told CNews on March 27.
When speaking about the Church’s problems, Sarah avoids naming individuals. Throughout the interview, he uses only broad categories - "we," "people," - and shifts the blame onto modern culture and ideas such as relativism, rupture, and innovation.
His consistent rhetorical strategy is to use passive and "we".
The Church: Not an NGO
His basic argument is that the Church cannot be reduced to a humanitarian, political, or sociological institution: "God must truly be placed at the center of our existence, at the center of our life, at the center of our concerns."
And: "If we detach the Church from this mission… the Church is useless."
Liturgy as Battlefield
Cardinal Sarah mentions Leo XIV only briefly and in an almost deferential way when describing the liturgical crisis.
"I understand …
But... but... is there really anyone left who believes in sarah's sincerity?

Cardinal Müller Threatens FSSPX with Hell - "Episcopal Ordinations Are Mortal Sin"
Cardinal Gerhard Müller repeated on Herder.de (Communio magazine) his attacks on the Priestly Fraternity of St Pius X (FSSPX). Main quotes, shortened for readability.
- The FSSPX elevates its criticism of religious freedom, ecumenism, and interreligious relations to the standard of what is Catholic and demands that the Church admit the Council propagated erroneous and ambiguous teachings.
- Certain formulations of the Second Vatican Council are given doubtful interpretations—for example, that Muslims and Jews worship the one God with us; some see in this a religious-historical relativism. The classical Catholic teaching is overlooked that human reason is capable of recognizing the existence and unity of God.
- In doctrinal matters, these are, in my opinion, pretexts to avoid full submission to the authority of the Pope.
- In my discussions with the FSSPX, I insisted that their criticism would only be …
The German Muller is a stereotypical case of diabolical disorientation.
Question: Who is closer to hell? The SSPX with its TLM, or Muller embracing a couple of punk women? (By the way, look at the slobbering expression on his face-he almost looks like a very youthful "Adonis.")

Two Priests Die After Saving Altar Server in Ecuador
The Church in Ecuador is mourning the tragic loss of two priests who died after rescuing a young altar server from drowning in the sea.
The incident occurred on 13 March at the beach of General Villamil Playas, in the province of Guayas. A group of priests and altar servers had gathered there for a retreat when one of the young boys began to struggle in the water after being caught by strong waves.
Father Alfonso Avilés Pérez, parish priest of San Alberto Magno in Daule, immediately entered the sea to help the boy. Father Pedro Anzoátegui also rushed into the water to assist in the rescue. Thanks to their efforts, the altar server was saved.
However, the powerful current carried both priests away from the shore.
Father Alfonso Avilés died shortly after the incident, while Father Pedro Anzoátegui was initially reported missing. His body was recovered the following day.

Excommunication of FSSPX May Be Invalid – Bishop Schneider
An excommunication of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) may be invalid, Bishop Athanasius Schneider said according to Michael Haynes on X.com.
"I think that, if the excommunication would be applied, it would be in some way not valid because there is no intention to do a schismatic act on the side of the Society of Pius X, and you cannot be punished when you have not the intention to do it, according to the canon law."

According to "his excellency" Schneider, this excommunication "may be invalid" and "it would be in some way" are very prudent words, but, coming from the mouth of a novus ordo cleric, I would not call it prudence...

Suspension of FSSPX Episcopal Consecrations Precondition for Dialogue - Vatican
It seems that the Vatican and the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) are entering a new phase of dialogue.
According to a statement by Cardinal Víctor Fernández, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, he met with Fr Davide Pagliarani, Superior General of the FSSPX today, with the approval of Pope Leo XIV. The meeting was described as cordial and sincere.
Tucho proposed a structured theological dialogue to clarify doctrinal issues, particularly regarding the interpretation of the Second Vatican Council and the levels of assent required for its teachings.
The aim is to establish the minimum conditions required for full ecclesial communion and to outline a potential canonical status for the Fraternity.
Meanwhile, the Holy See has reiterated that any episcopal ordinations carried out without a papal mandate would constitute a break in communion and have serious consequences:
"The possibility …
Just as the china virus hoax cost millions of lives, the transcendence of consecrating new bishops could cost millions of souls.
If the Society of Saint Pius X abandons the battle for good simply to engage in dialogue with evil, then the legacy of Archbishop Lefebvre will be lost in the darkness of diabolical disorientation.
Una Voce Asks Leo XIV for Concessions - in View of the FSSPX’s Consecrations
Una Voce International - the largest international association of lay Catholics associated with the Mass of the Roman rite - published a February 3 statement regarding the announced consecrations of bishops for the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X without a papal mandate. The statement was signed by Joseph Shaw (President, England), Monika Rheinschmitt (Vice President, Germany), and Andris Amolins (Secretary, Latvia).
They write about the announcement: "Our ardent wish, shared by many Catholics of goodwill, is for the canonical regularisation of the FSSPX, which would enable its many good works to bear the greatest possible fruit. This announcement indicates that this outcome is a more distant prospect than it has seemed for many years."
The group shares the FSSPX's goal of making the Church's ancient liturgy available as widely as possible.

WRONG!
"The SSPX's main goal is the formation of HOLY PRIESTS. These priests are given to the Church for the sanctification of souls by employing the means that the Church has always used:
1- The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, specifically the 'Mass of all Time'.
2- The preaching of..."

Catholic Decline in Latin America - Paganism Flourishes
The share of adults identifying as Catholic has declined sharply across much of Latin America over the past decade. The number of people with no religious affiliation has risen, according to a January 21 Pew Research Center report. This marks a shift in a region where more than 90% of people were Catholic around 1900.
The report, Catholicism Has Declined in Latin America Over the Past Decade is based on surveys of more than 6,200 adults in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru conducted in spring 2024. Comparing the results with a similar 2013–14 survey, Pew found that the Catholic share fell by at least 9 percentage points in all six countries.
Today, Catholics make up 46% of adults in Brazil and Chile, 58% in Argentina, 60% in Colombia, and 67% in both Mexico and Peru. A decade ago, all six countries had Catholic majorities of roughly six-in-ten or more adults.
