Ice Age Farmer So Trump comes out and declares the strait is open again — completely made up, and who even believes him at this point? But "belief" is not the point. The headlines go out, and the high-frequency algorithmic trading pushes the oil prices back down. These markets have been completely manipulated by their statements: 1. Not just to make billions through insider trading 2. Not just to push people into confusion and learned helplessness 3. But to absolutely prevent any natural demand destruction ... meaning, usually if the world is running out of something, the price rises. That's the most basic supply/demand concept. It's been undermined by this cycle of nonsense announcements and manipulated markets — and this is GUARANTEEING that we are going into an absolutely worst-case "hard landing" scenario: the engineered energy crisis that will require fuel rationing and cause massive inflation across commodities, transportation, cost of living...everything. The economy CANNOT …More
Cardinal Pizzaballa Visited Taybeh, West Bank: On August 15, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa visited the Christian community of Taybeh in the West Bank, amid Israeli military restrictions on access to the area. “We will continue to do everything in our power to preserve the ecclesial presence here, at every level of the Holy Land,” he said. He also urged Christians to defend their rights without giving in to fear or despair: “We do not want to give up or abandon our rights, our right to life. So be courageous. Do not be afraid.” He also warned against allowing the conflict to shape the community internally.
Lourdes Bans FSSPX Masses: On August 13, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes, France, issued a statement concerning the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) pilgrimage to Lourdes. He cited the episcopal consecrations at Écône on July 1 and the subsequent decree of the Holy See. The FSSPX is no longer authorized to celebrate Mass or other sacraments inside the Lourdes Sanctuary, nor to organize public prayers there. Individual pilgrims remain free to pray privately. Bishop Micas wrote that he was aware the decision would cause “pain” and “perhaps incomprehension.” The FSSPX had held organized public worship at Lourdes for many years, including Masses, confessions, processions and public prayers within the Sanctuary.
For the record, the excommunication are on appeal. Under canon Law they are suspended until a final determination is made. The FSSPX has a very strong case on multiple grounds that would place them is a very favorable position of prevailing before a fair tribunal. Whether they will have that fair tribunal remains to be seen, but until there is a final determination by the Pope, even in the eyes of the Conciliarists they are every bit as valid as the judgmental bishop who banned them from Lourdes. The bishop should withdraw his ruling and apologize.
Half truth is LIES. Mixing Truth with Lies is EVIL. God is not the author of CONFUSION. Enemies of Jesus and the Church are invited and exalted in the Vatican. 1) Proverbs 6:16-17: "A lying tongue" and "a false witness who lies with every breath" among the seven things God detests. a). A depiction of Our Lady by Romanian artist Teodora Axente has sparked controversy in Siena, Italy. The Virgin on this year's Palio banner os androgynous and departs from any Marian iconography. The Municipality of Siena commissioned Axente to create the Drappellone, the painted silk banner awarded to the winning contrada, one of Siena's historic districts, in the city's centuries-old Palio horse race. Axente was appointed by the city government on the proposal of Mayor Nicoletta Fabio. The banner was unveiled on August 10. It places the Virgin above Siena and its contrade, protecting the Golden Rose associated with Pope Pius II, and commemorates the 500th anniversary of the 1526 Battle of Camollia. Axente called the figure her personal vision of the Madonna and said the figures in the work were “more androgynous” and therefore “universal characters.” On August 13, the Archdiocese of Siena published a statement by Father Enrico Grassini, rector of the Collegio dei Correttori. He rejected …More
Diocese of Pissburgh: This is the last Sunday Latin Mass at St Titus in Aliquippa, PA. The final TLM will be Friday 9/4 at 7pm. The servers lead Fr Michael Roche in the recessional while the faithful cry out: "Faith of our Fathers, Holy Faith, we will be true to thee till death!" Video by Mason-Dixon Latin Mass Society
It's a test of faith to those who attend this mass. Will they return to the putrid Novus Ordo of travel to the mass that glorifies God , no matter where it may be.?
Synodality Risks Turning the Church Into a “Parliament”: The risk that synodality becomes a parliament is correct, Cardinal Angelo Scola, 84, of Milan, Italy, told Swiss broadcaster RSI on August 16. At the same time, "conservative" Cardinal Scola defended synodality itself: “It is important that the synodal element be increasingly emphasized in the Church.” Most of the interview looks back on debates of Scola’s younger years, recalling figures such as Henri de Lubac, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Joseph Ratzinger, the legacy of Vatican II, and the fading theological journal Communio.

Irish Female Preacher at Eucharist: "I’d Love to See Women Priests" Worse than Germany: On 13 August, Irish TV broadcaster Mary Kennedy delivered the homily during the 'National Novena' at Knock Basilica, Ireland. Kennedy is divorced, has had subsequent relationships and said she “shouldn’t really be receiving Holy Communion” but is an “à la carte Catholic”. She added, “that’s the kind of Catholic that suits me.” Furthermore, Kennedy said that she loves “the sound of the Muslim call to prayer”. Later in the address, Kennedy criticised what she described as the “male-dominated” ministry: “I would love to see women priests. I really would.”
On 13 August 2026, Irish broadcaster Mary Kennedy delivered a roughly 15-minute guest address entitled “Faith in Full View” during the National Novena to Our Lady of Knock in Knock Basilica, Co. Mayo, following the Gospel: “I would like it if it weren’t such a male-dominated ministry. I think there is real value in having women in important positions in the Church. It’s not going to change in my lifetime, or in the lifetimes of other people present here, but I really do feel that women would have a huge contribution to make to the Church, and I would love to see women priests. I really would.”
One Canadian pastor who isn’t afraid to speak out as the Canadian military moves to ban Christian prayer at public events. It’s just another government attack against Christians.
Bishop Athanasius Schneider has issued his first public statement since Leo XIV declared six FSSPX bishops excommunicated on July 2, published on Diane Montagna's Substack. Schneider had previously appealed for liturgical peace, meeting with Pope Leo XIV in December 2025 and Cardinal Parolin a little over a week before the July 1 episcopal consecration. Bishop Schneider's central claim: in an extraordinary Church crisis, fidelity to unambiguous doctrine and traditional liturgy can outweigh obedience to ecclesiastical law. He opens with St. Athanasius, excommunicated by Pope Liberius in 357 for refusing communion with Arian bishops the Pope himself had recognized under imperial pressure. Athanasius was later canonized as a Doctor of the Church; Liberius was never canonized. Schneider treats Écône as a modern parallel — a forced choice between canonical obedience and doctrinal integrity. Bishop Schneider blames two distortions for narrowing this question: "legalism" (treating Church law …More
RealRobert @Real_RobN And here it is… USAID more than doubled its spending on Brazil as soon as Bolsonaro won the 2018 election. This wasn’t because Brazil suddenly needed twice the aid; the money was spent on operations aimed at overthrowing the Brazilian government. The 2022 Brazilian election was stolen from Bolsonaro just as the 2020 U.S. election was stolen from Donald Trump and from Kari Lake in 2022, with USAID and the CIA involved in installing election-rigging machines that Brazilians didn’t even want. Just months before the election, CIA Director William Burns visited Brazil and warned Bolsonaro not to cast doubt on the voting machines or contest the election results — implying the newly installed machines were compromised. Additionally, Defense Secretary Lloyd “Woke” Austin — a DEI hire — visited Brazil and pressured the Chief of the Brazilian Armed Forces to accept the election results and support Lula, a convicted felon and self-proclaimed communist. How’s that for election …More

@brhenry the mistake that I and many others made/make is drawing the line at Quo Primum on the belief that the Mass cannot be changed. A pope cannot legally bind the legislative power of his successor. Pope St. Pius V even altered his codified Missal. The Tridentine Reform was not to create a new mass but to get rid of the garbage. The problem during his time is the same now. The Mass was codified to stop liturgical abuse. The Novus Ordo is the apotheosis of abuse. Unlike any liturgical changes prior to VCII, there was always a respect for what came before and preservation of continuity. The new mass doesn't try for continuity but erasure; No preservation only a declaration of obsolescence. I have answered your question, and I have one for you. Why the disdain and animosity for the Tridentine Mass? What, in your opinion, makes the Novus Ordo better?
Behind a “prayer gathering for peace” in the papal gardens of Castel Gandolfo on July 29 was a secret dinner with wealthy donors, primarily Americans, reports Nd.nl on August 17. The evening was organised by the Vatican foundation Borgo Laudato si’, with the Andrea Bocelli Foundation as co-organizer. Employees of the dicasteries of the Holy See, the Governorate of Vatican City State and the offices of the Roman Curia were invited. Images show that several chairs remained empty. A Vatican employee said that the invitation wasn’t put up on the notice board until the morning of the concert. The evening consisted of a concert by tenor Andrea Bocelli and an interreligious children’s choir. Leo XIV then gave interviews to the American television networks NBC and Telemundo. Journalists from other media who were present were not allowed to speak with visitors and were kept under tight control. The incoming head of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Communication, the divorced lawyer Montse Alvarado, …More
and sent the rich away empty. Mary’s Magnificat – Luke 1:46-55 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for God has looked with favor on the lowliness of the Almighty’s servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is God’s name. God’s mercy is for those who fear God from generation to generation. God has shown strength with God’s arm; God has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. God has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; God has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty. God has helped servant Israel, in remembrance of God’s mercy, according to the promise God made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.
