Christ’s Temptation and Our Spiritual Battle
The sin of Adam and Eve brought death to all, but the righteousness of Jesus Christ brings life and redemption to all. While Adam’s sin was greater due to his direct command from God, both Adam and Eve were involved in the fall of humanity. The restoration of humanity comes through the one righteous act of Jesus Christ, with the Blessed Virgin Mary in complete unity with His work.
Fr. Altier emphasizes the importance of focusing on Jesus Christ and His righteousness during the holy season. He highlights the temptations Jesus faced in the wilderness, mirroring the temptations humans encounter, such as pride, pleasure, and materialism. He encourages individuals to examine their spiritual lives, prioritize their focus on God, and learn from the examples of Jesus and Mary to choose life and reject sin.
