Tanti Auguri a Te: On Tuesday, his 77th birthday, Pope Francis celebrated Mass in his residence as he does every morning. Some special guests were present, among them were four homeless people that live in the Vatican neighborhood. The attendees accompanied the greeting to the Holy Father with the usual Italian birthday song. Then all went for breakfast into the dining hall of the Domus Sanctae Martae."

Gay Magazine Makes Pope 'Person of the Year': The current issue of The Advocate, a homosexual propaganda magazine, named Pope Francis 'Person of the Year'. It published his picture with the pope’s equivocal statement: “If someone is gay and seeks the Lord with good will, who am I to judge?” The Magazine places Francis in strong contrast to his papal predecessors. Nevertheless, as an archbishop of Buenos Aires, Francis wrote about a gay-marriage bill: “Let’s not be naïve: This is not a simple political struggle, but an attempt to destroy God’s plan. It is not just a bill but a move of the Father of Lies, who seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.”

More Liberal Bishops Preferred: National Catholic Reporter journalist John Allen commented on why Cardinal Raymond Burke was bumped as a member of the Congregation of Bishops, a post that gave him influence in the selection of new bishops. According to Allen, the “face-value reading” of this change was that Francis wants more – quote - moderate bishops. “Moderate” is a label used by liberals to designate other liberals. After Burke’s dismissal it is likely that more leftwing candidates will be preferred for the episcopacy in the U.S.

A Priest Defends Himself: In February, 53-year-old Fr Paul Carr was assaulted on the train from Manchester Piccadilly to Llandudno in Wales according to the British Mirror. Carr found the seat he had reserved taken by Joseph Lane and his friends. Although Lane grabbed Carr and the later had to act in self-defense, Carr was charged with assault, but later acquitted. Carr was on his way to St Beuno's Ignatian Spirituality Centre in Tremeirchion. He is a former North American District Superior of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, but now serves in Vancouver archdiocese.

...in one of his finest suits with the hope that when he visits the Vatican, he can be granted an audience with the Holy Father. During one of the Papal processions, he manages to make his way to the front of the barrier as the Pontiff walks past them. Instead, the Pope completely blanks the man, and stops several metres after him and stoops down to talk to an old and ragged-looking homeless person. The wealthy man is insanely jealous, and later finds the homeless person that the Pope had talked to and offers him his own fine suit as well as €2000, in exchange for the hobo's rags, to which the man greatly obliges. The next day, the man positions himself in his "new" hobo clothing in roughly the same spot the original man was in the previous day. And sure enough, as the Pope came down the procession, he stopped by the homeless man, bent down and whispered in his ear: "I thought I told you to get lost yesterday"

Interesting point of view of Pope Francis... I understand and agree with his move on not judging gays who look for God, only God can judge us... But not judging does not mean support them or support gay marriage, is like thinking that someone is good just because is not doing bad things, being good requires action. Agree with gay living and not judging are not the same... He is inviting us to respect …More

Agree with gay living and not judging are not the same... He is inviting us to respect and to separate what is for us as persons and what is reserved only to God, the only and absolute judge. Omar

four homeless people
Why so few? What will they eat tomorrow? Wouldn't it have been more beneficial to get these people job training or hire them to work at the Vatican? This appears to be yet another public relations photo-opportunity where these 4 homeless people are simply being used.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Unfortunately, liberals don't think like this.
