A Montana judge has ruled that a local public high school was justified in ordering a student to remove references to her Christian faith from a valedictory speech, LifeSite News reports. The student, Renee Griffith, had rejected the demands from Butte High School. This led the school not to allow her to deliver her address. Judge Gregory Todd said that the school's decision was aimed at "maintaining District neutrality towards religion, as is required by the Establishment Clause" of the First Amendment to the US Constitution. Lawyers representing Griffith intend to appeal the decision.
