There is no such thing as Liturgical Dance in connection with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It has never existed, in the whole history of the Faith, East, West, or Orient. The Fathers would be horrified. What would St. John Chrysostom say? This is an innovation that is allowed because of Vatican II, the Novus Ordo, and confused and weak-willed Bishops and Clergy who are afraid of the Laity and the non-Catholic. BUT, I would disagree that to attack Vatican II is dangerous, as it could certainly not have been the work of the Holy Spirit, but rather the work of the earthly spirit of accommodation with the modern world. How could the Holy Spirit have superceeded and nullified Holy Tradition, as was the case with Vatican II? Gospels and Canon Law tell us to flee such apostasy. These dances and the other abuses that we see today are the bad fruits of an evil tree. I am sorry, but it is true. What is revealed is not Holiness, but rather a spirit of agnostic humanism seduced by the invocation of a false beauty through the fashionable appeal to the god of art. Beneath it all is utter blasphemy. Only when the True Faith has all but been abandoned, can such silliness succeed to seduce.
