You seem to have waded in on a complex ethnic and cultural issue without much thought on how it could effect Catholics in a predominantly Budhist country. The bulletin your news item is based on has been lifted from a Tamil terrorist website called Tamilnet. These terrorists invented the suicide bomb, recruited child soldiers and practiced ethnic cleansing of non Tamils in the Tamil areas under their control. Sadly, some priests too were involved helping the military struggle of the terrorists. The situation here is slightly worse than practicing the heretical liberation theology. So please be weary before jumping into conclusions. A great Oratorian blessed, Joseph Vaz, is loved by Catholics Budhists and Hindus alike in the country, and the invitation to the Holy Father is to Cannonise him.
