The offering of First Communion before Confirmation is not, as some think, a long established tradition in the West. It happened when Pius X encouraged the practice of giving Communion to children as means to combat the sad reality that many Catholics at the turn of the 20th century had such an exaggerated sense of being unworthy that they received only once as year. Yesterday, a major thing happened in France: the well-known Abbé Michel, the curé de Thiberville (normandy) leaved his parish due to the persecution of a modernist bishop (he was persecuted because he celebrated the only Traditional Latin Mass in the diocese). It is a major piece of info here, and everybody speaks about it is French Catholic fora and blogs, because that show that Tradition is still forbidden in a lot of dioceses of our country. Maybe it should me featured on Gloria TV news?
