Bergoglio in favor of euthanasia: February 6, 2016:
"I remember the death of a priest friend. He was an apostle, a man of God. But he had been in a coma for a long time—for a long time. That coma made no sense. The doctors would say, 'We don't know how he manages to breathe.' Then another priest friend came in. He approached him and said—for he could hear—'Let yourself be led by the Lord. Let yourself be led. Have faith; trust in the Lord.' And with those words, he passed away in peace."
Bergoglio quoting Primo Mazzolari: "But I love Judas too; he is my brother Judas."
Back in Argentina, Bergoglio already supported suicide; in his heretical book *On Heaven and Earth*, he wrote that he did not judge those who committed suicide.
*On Heaven and Earth*, p. 92: "There was a time when funerals were not held for those who committed suicide, because they did not continue walking toward the goal; they put an end to the journey whenever they wished. But I respect the person who commits suicide; it is someone who could not overcome life's contradictions. I do not reject them."
