Pope Leo XIV left a brief English message in UNESCO’s guestbook during his visit to its Paris headquarters today:
“Grateful for the welcome I have received, it is my hope that, with God’s help, UNESCO will continue its valuable promotion of international cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture.”
Leo XIV is the first pope to visit UNESCO headquarters since John Paul II in 1980.
