Die protestantische Pastorin Janneke Huizinga ist eingesprungen, um eine katholische Karnevalsfeier in der katholischen St. Stephanus Kirche in Borne, Erzdiözese Utrecht, zu leiten. Wie Nd.nl am 17. Eine presbyterianische Pastorin aus den USA, Rev. Rebecca Todd Petersen, hat Empörung ausgelöst, indem sie die Seligpreisungen aus der Bergpredigt umformulierte, um Abtreibung religiös zu rechtfertigen. In einem öffentlichen Statement sprach sie über zwei eigene Abtreibungen und begründete ihre Haltung religiös – Kritiker bezeichnen dies als „blasphemisch“.

Es gibt mehrere Glaubensrichtungen die eine Abtreibung als Freiheit und als erlaubt ansehen ... ? ! Sie übergehen einfach Gottes Gebote und machen dafür ihre eigenen Ansichten aus dem Bauch heraus ! Dass Gott die vielen Abtreibungen als Mord und gegen seinen Schöpferwillen gerichtet sieht, stört auch diese Pastorin nicht und sie will damit die Abtreibung auch für andere Abtreiber erhalten . Und das ist ein Glaube ? Nein, es ist die reine Unterwelt ... !
Typisch! Sie unterstreicht, daß sie unter dem Abtreibungsgesetz 45 Jahre leben konnte und sie möchte das ihren Töchtern erhalten. Ein starker Hinweis darauf, daß sie wahrscheinlich mehrere Abtreibungen gehabt hat, kein Beweis. Typisch ist, daß gerade solche Menschen für Abtreibungen plädieren, weil sie dann noch mehr Täter um sich scharen können. Und einen Mord, den so viele begangen haben, kann nicht schlecht sein. Es wurde ja niemand bestraft. Das Totenbett spricht da eine andere Sprache!

But Schmidt notes that Latin and Syriac manuscripts of this passage don’t have the clear affirmation “He was the Christ” but instead the more doubtful “He was believed to be [Latin] / thought to be [Syriac] the Christ.” Given the early date of these renditions—AD 300s—and the unlikelihood that any Latin or Syriac Christian copyist would demote Jesus, it seems reasonable to conclude this was what Josephus wrote. In the Greek copying tradition, a single verb (legomenos, “called,” perhaps) appears to have dropped out, either by accident or intent.
