The Municipality of Oradea, Romania, has initiated legal proceedings to evict Abbot Anselm Rudolf Fejes, O. Praem., from the Norbertine Abbey of Oradea. The Catholic monastery was founded in 1130. The case is currently before the Oradea District Court and is formally registered as an “eviction for lack of title.” The abbey belongs to the Norbertine Order (Premonstratensians), a Catholic religious order founded in 1121 by St. Norbert of Xanten.
