Today, Pope Leo XIV travelled to Spain's Canary Islands, one of Europe's migration hotspots, to deliver a highly emotional and moralizing address. He met at the port with NGOs and organizations who de facto practice human trafficking. The pope spread their stories that they “had saved some 20,000 migrants”. Leo XIV dropped a wreath of flowers into the sea in tribute to the African migrants who had died while trying to enter the European Union. In what he called an "appeal to the conscience" of politicians, he said that "human dignity has no passport and does not lose its value when crossing a border." He warned “growing accustomed to the Mediterranean and the Atlantic becoming unmarked graves”. Leo XIV also said: "Dear migrants, before saying anything else to you, I want to bow before your dignity. You are not just numbers or files. You are people who have left behind families and homes. You have dreams that no one has the right to despise." He also challenged “the Church”: “Welcoming …More
p/c sjvcenter.org In Priest Psych Unit: Part 1, I gave an introduction to what happens to Catholic priests who are sent to psychological behavioral centers. Some men request a sabbatical there. But other priests (usually the conservative ones) are sent there by a bishop to break them of their orthodoxy (usually hung on the red-herring of “rigorism” or “scrupulosity.”) Today, I interview a priest in the latter category. In the below interview, he will go by the pseudonym of “Fr. Paul.” However, he is a friend of mine and he is a priest from a different diocese who was sent away for “treatment.” Before this interview, let me give a brief legal notice: If the mental health center described by Fr. Paul in this article would like to attempt a lawsuit of libel against either of us for this interview, go for it. Be our guest. We are confident in our publication below for at least two reasons. Firstly, Fr. Paul and I will able to prove everything in this interview. Secondly, we have …
Authored by Kaif Shaikh via Interesting Engineering, A Chinese robotics company has begun placing its humanoid robots inside real homes, marking a significant step in the race to develop machines capable of performing everyday household tasks. Wuhan-based GigaAI recently deployed the first batch of 100 SeeLight S1 humanoid robots for household testing, according to reports from China. The trial is being positioned as China's first large-scale real-home test of a general-purpose humanoid robot designed for domestic use. While humanoid robots have become increasingly adept at performing carefully choreographed demonstrations, researchers say the real challenge lies in operating inside unpredictable human environments. From Robot Demos To Real Household Work In a demonstration apartment in Wuhan, two SeeLight S1 robots carried out a variety of household chores. According to Global Times and China Daily reports, one robot prepared breakfast by retrieving food items, heating chicken in a …
Religious instruction can have a positive affect on student life and even academic success. The non-partisan think tank Cardus published in March 24, 2026 an Education Survey titled, "Enduring Faith: Patterns of Religious Practice and Values Among Religious School Graduates." It shows a correlation between what schools do when it comes to religious instruction and whether the students maintaining their faith once they graduate. Schools that make faith formation a priority are more likely to have graduates who do the same. The sample is American, but it's not unreasonable to assume the results would similar in Ontario. The number of respondents were 2,350. Included were students who had graduated from high school from Protestant schools, Catholic schools, nonreligious independent schools, and some who were home-schooled. The report compares the results from a past survey done in 2013. These are some of the survey questions asked of the graduates: How often, if at all, do you read the …
Same as in Germany: A parish in Milan's Baggio district, Italy, will provide space for Islamic prayer during its 2026 summer youth programme. This initiative is part of the 'Summer Oratory' (Oratorio Estivo) programme at San Giovanni Bosco parish. According to the parish priest, Don Giovanni Salatino, several Muslim young people will serve as camp animators. In his view, providing them with a space for prayer is a gesture of respect and inclusion. He also stated that Christians and Muslims pray to the same God. The Archdiocese of Milan has supported the initiative on its website, describing the camp as “inclusive and open to dialogue”. #newsWpdsifzegg
Leo XIV has landed in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for the third and final leg of his visit to Spain, where he will meet with migrants, fulfilling the dream of the late Pope Francis.
Let the ultimate Prize and Goal be Heaven and the narrow path with all it's obstacles and hazards. The celebrations will begin if we make it there where the Joy will never stop and all suffering will disappear from us. Persevere Faithfully to the END!
New Vatican Lay-Prefect Sides with Israel: On 24 October 2023, during a conference at the Catholic University of Steubenville, Montse Alvardo, the new - civilly divorced - Zionist Prefect of the Vatican Dicastery of Communication, spoke about "antisemitism". She expressed sympathy for the Jewish experience, stating that, biblically, "we're called to pick a side", describing the victims of 7 October as "martyrs", and arguing that some contemporary protest movements are driven by hatred of Jews. She also criticised the combination of Palestinian and homosexual activism within the same protest coalitions. Key quotes: - 'We teach [the Holocaust] to our children. We fight for people to understand that it is part of our story too.” - 'I would add those I call martyrs from 7 October to that.' - 'Rabbi Soloveitchik talked about the flag of reproductive justice alongside the Palestinian flag and Hamas. At a protest, I saw the LGBTQ+ flag alongside them. Those people would be stoned and lynched …More
