In her last ever live interview, just four hours before she was murdered, Ann Widdecombe warned of a hidden "establishment" operating behind the scenes of UK politics. Some people—including former UK PM Liz Truss—have referred to this hidden establishment as the "deep state". "I didn't always believe in that theory, but I do think now that different parts of the establishment act in ways which I think are extremely questionable."
Three scheduled Masses in the Roman rite in August at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France, are likely to be cancelled unless the Diocese of Versailles authorizes a priest to celebrate them. Earlier this year, after months of dialogue, the diocese reached an agreement with representatives of the faithful to ensure that the Latin Mass would be celebrated every Sunday and holy day throughout the year. According to Paix Liturgique (15 July), the Diocese of Versailles acknowledged that it might be unable to provide priests for several summer dates and invited the faithful to propose canonically regular priests to fill the gaps. Most of the missing celebrations have since been covered, but the Masses scheduled for 2, 9, and 23 August remain without an approved celebrant. The faithful say that Rev. Jacques-Pascal Bosi, a priest in good standing of the Diocese of Gap-Embrun who is currently serving on mission in Paris, is available to celebrate the remaining Masses. They state that the Diocese of …More

French Bishops Condemn Euthanasia Law as ‘Serious Turning Point’: The French Bishops' Conference has condemned in words only the country's new law legalizing euthanasia, calling it "a serious turning point" in the nation's history. The bishops warn that the legislation breaks with the long tradition of caring for the sick and risks weakening trust between patients and caregivers. They also caution that the most vulnerable - including the elderly, the disabled, and those facing serious illness - could come under increasing pressure: "The greatness of a society is never found in giving death to the most vulnerable, but in accompanying them with genuine fraternity until the end."

When I’m planning operations, I’m constantly thinking about them. It’s my whole life. I live and breathe the operations I’m planning. I enjoy it. It’s fascinating.
We'd have to hear the whole speech, but I wonder why he says that being a Synodal Church means recognizing that we don't possess the truth but must seek it together. What truth is he referring to? Isn't the Church the pillar and foundation of truth?
Jhon 14,6 Jesus replied, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” What is he talking about? What are we talking about? The successors of the apostles and the Catholic Church are the sole holders of the truth and the way (well, okay: up until the Second Vatican Council) ----- Jn 14,6 Jézus azt felelte neki: „Én vagyok az út, az igazság és az élet. Senki sem jut az Atyához, csak általam." Miről beszél, miről beszélünk? Az apostol utódok és a katolikus egyház az egyetlen igazság birtokosa, útja (na jó: a II. Vatikáni Zsinatig)
The “methodology” of the consistories under Leo XIV risks undermining open debate, Cardinal Raymond Burke told Edward Pentin on CardinalNews.substack.com (July 15) [as if the problem were not the content and personnel policy]. Cardinal Burke said dissent in the small groups is excluded because the reports reflect only “what every cardinal agreed upon,” meaning significant minority views may be omitted. Overall, he described the consistory as a “very controlled” process, with pre-selected discussion leaders and limited opportunities for free intervention. “Synodality Has to Be Stopped” Turning to the growing use of “synodality” in the Church, Cardinal Burke questioned its theological and historical basis: “There is no definition of synodality, there’s no history of it in the Church.” His concern is the merging of established structures, such as consistories, with this undefined concept, “We have to insist that this whole synodality business stop.” He argued, without laughing, that synodality …More

30,000 'Trojan Horses': Europe and Britain Face Muslim Domination and Escalating Threat of Civil War A Muslim call to prayer marked the 100-year anniversary of the opening of the Grand Mosque of Paris. Once the only official mosque in all of France, there are now almost 3,000, with more than 30,000 mosques across the European Union, including one of the newest, the Grand Mosque in Strasbourg. Although Muslims remain a small percentage of the population in the European Union and the United Kingdom, their numbers have grown to over 50 million, making Islam the fastest-growing religion there.
