German theologian Hubert Windisch, a priest of the Diocese of Regensburg who dresses in civilian clothes, argues in a September article that the Church’s dramatic loss of substance has been driven above all by the “Bergoglian magisterium.” He describes several decisions as prone to heresy and even apostasy—from Abu Dhabi and Pachamama to Amoris laetitia and Fiducia supplicans. In his view, doctrinal clarity has been replaced by endless “pastoral processes”. He sees the German Synodal Path as an attempt to institutionalize this relativistic contradiction and warns that Rome, rather than resisting the German experiment, is rushing to follow the same course at the level of the universal Church.

Confirmed: Pope Leo XIV has appointed Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, 60, as Metropolitan Archbishop of Chieti-Vasto. Medias-Presse.info highlights Rotary publications from both 2014 and 2024 describing Monsignor Wach as an honorary member, including on occasions when the club was received at the ICRSP seminary in Gricigliano. In 1950, the Holy Office issued a decision, approved by Pope Pius XII, forbidding Catholic clergy from joining Rotary Clubs or attending their meetings. Bishops’ conferences may pursue “appropriate steps in different contexts” after the 'Amoris Laetitia' meeting. The Vatican today released details of Leo XIV’s meeting with 248 bishops marking ten years of 'Amoris Laetitia' (October 7–14). It will be conducted in a “synodal style.” Participants will work in 16 small groups before discussing their results in plenary.
