Zelensky tells Starmer Ukraine 'urgently needs' defence weapons after Russia fired hypersonic missiles

Volodymyr Zelensky has stressed the 'urgent need' to bolster defence weapons in a meeting with Keir Starmer in Downing Street.
The Ukrainian President arrived at No 10 today to discuss 'strengthening Europe'.
He was joined by Sir Keir,
Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for talks on air defence in the face of increasing 'Russian aggression'.
The leaders discussed the need to 'scale up the production of interceptors and co-develop anti-ballistic missile and deep strike capabilities' after Russia fired hypersonic missiles at Ukraine.
In a post on social media before the meeting, Mr Zelensky said the focus would be 'greater cooperation' towards a 'shared view of diplomatic prospects'.
He added: 'Europe must be part of the negotiations and must be strong.'
Mr Zelensky said he would meet King Charles tomorrow, thanking the UK and allies for their vow to 'help us strengthen the protection of life and increase pressure on Russia for its aggression'.

Anyone claiming 'annulment brings you closer to the Church and closer to Christ' likely should have not been granted an annulment until such a misconception/misunderstanding could be clarified. Her declaration seems like a (proud) advertisement for annulment. Is this the kind of skewed 'communications' we can expect from her office? In and of itself, her annulment would not disqualify her from the job but her perspective certainly should. As bungled a piece of communication as one could fabricate.

Did you know that the supposed eradication of measles in Scandinavia or Latin America is based on statistical tricks? Or that polio has only “disappeared” because cases were simply reclassified? In this broadcast, Kla.TV documents how brazenly numbers and statistics are manipulated to prove supposed vaccination successes. Kla.TV presents astonishing facts that are rarely discussed and that may be completely new even to long-time vaccination critics. Don’t miss this important program! Source.
It is very easy to manipulate people through tricks and the misinterpretation of statistical data. This is especially true when the mainstream media bombards the public with such information. This gives rise to deeply rooted myths that—like the fairy tale of a miracle cure—take hold despite all logic and contrary to the findings of independent scientists. The definition of the disease is altered to produce the desired statistics …

Saint William of York - June 8
Also known as
William FitzHerbert
William FitzHerbert of York
William of Thwayt
Memorial
8 June
8 January (translation of relics)
Profile
Son of Count Herbert, treasurer to King Henry I, and Emma, half-sister to King William. Treasurer of the church in York, England while still young. Priest. Chaplain to King Stephen.
Archbishop of York in 1140. His selection was challenged by reformers, especially a group of Cistercians, and William was accused of simony, sexual misconduct, and being unduly influenced by his connections to the royal court. The Vatican investigated, Pope Innocent cleared him of all charges, and confirmed him as archbishop on 26 September 1143. However, the charges resurfaced a few years later under Pope Eugene III, a Cistercian; Eugene suspended William from his see, and in 1147 removed him as archbishop, replacing him with the Cistercian Henry Murdac, abbot of Fountains. Some of William’s supporters took to the …More

June 8 Saint William Of York.
breski1 Jun 8, 2010 (d. 1154) A disputed election as archbishop of York and a mysterious death. Those are the headlines from the tragic life of today's saint. Born into a powerful family in 12th-century England, William seemed destined for great things. His uncle was next in line for the English throne—though a nasty dynastic struggle complicated things. William himself faced an internal Church feud.
Despite these roadblocks, he was nominated as archbishop of York in 1140. Local clergymen were less enthusiastic, however, and the archbishop of Canterbury refused to consecrate William. Three years later a neighboring bishop performed the consecration, but it lacked the approval of Pope Innocent II, whose successors likewise withheld approval. William was deposed and a new election was ordered.
It was not until 1154—14 years after he was first nominated—that William became archbishop of York. When he entered the city that spring after years of exile, he …More

Entire British Fleet of Attack Submarines Is Docked and Incapable of Combat, in New Humiliation for Royal Navy – Allah's Willing Executioners

Prime Minister Keir Starmer visit a Vanguard class submarine – No 10 Downing Street/Wiki Commons
‘Oh, Britannia, Britannia rules the seas’ – not.
We have been reporting here on TGP on how the British armed forces – particularly its once legendary Royal Navy – is depleted and unprepared for war.
Yesterday, a shocking report arose saying that the entire fleet of hunter-killer submarines is ‘stuck in port, unable to sail’ – leaving Britain at risk from today’s threats.
Daily Mail reported:
“In a fresh humiliation for Britain’s Armed Forces, all five of its Astute class submarines are currently laid up awaiting maintenance and other repair work.
Military experts have also warned that the Navy’s lack of available nuclear-powered attack submarines – which carry up to 38 Spearfish torpedoes and a battery of Tomahawk missiles – leaves the UK’s sub-sea internet and power cables dangerously vulnerable to sabotage by [Russia].”

The attack submarines also protect the larger Vanguard …

'Shout-out' from Bishop Sanborn for slavery article – Plus: gladiatorial blood-sports vs. slavery

Bishop Donald Sanborn referred to S.D. Wright’s article on slavery as ‘excellent’ and suggested that Leo XIV should read it. With our additional comments comparing slavery with the gladiatorial games.
(
WM Round-Up) – In a special edition of Questions with the Rector on Leo XIV’s first encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, Bishop Donald Sanborn praised my article critiquing its treatment of slavery.
In response to Stephen Heiner reading the relevant section from the encyclical, Bishop Sanborn replied:
Well, Seán Wright wrote an excellent article refuting that.”
The article in question – titled ‘The Church ended slavery. So why is Leo XIV apologizing?’ – was published on LifeSiteNews, on 29 May 2026.
After Bishop Sanborn and Mr Heiner gave an overview of the history of slavery and the Church, largely along the same lines as that related in my article, Mr Heiner asked what the Bishop made of Leo XIV’s “apology” for “the delay with which both society and the Church came to denounce the …

Day two in Spain: ‘What legacy are we leaving …
More than 1.2 million people celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi with Pope Leo XIV in the Plaza de Cibeles—a famous symbol of the city of Madrid—on the second day of his Apostolic Journey to Spain.
Surrounded by pilgrims from across the world, the Pope reflected on the mystery the Church commemorates on this day, stressing that in Spain, Corpus Christi is more than just a liturgical celebration. The Catholic traditions in which the Spanish faith and history are rooted, including floral arrangements and solemn processions, “have for centuries shaped the piety, art, music, architecture and life of the Spanish people.”
However, he stressed that these are not meant to be seen as part of an exhibition or folklore. Rather, a profession of faith.
More than looking back at the history of the country, Pope Leo outlined a task for “Spain today and in the future: to ensure that the religiosity which has shaped and defined this country for …More

Bill Gates-Funded Scientists Announce 'Universal Vaccine' For 'Viruses That Haven't Emerged Yet'

While the world was distracted by wars, economic collapse, and political chaos, the Bill Gates-backed pandemic machine has quietly been developing what scientists are openly calling a “universal vaccine” designed to target viruses that “haven’t emerged yet.”
Researchers at biotech spin-out DIOSynVax and the University of Cambridge have
announced successful human trials for an AI-designed “super vaccine” intended to combat not only current coronaviruses, but theoretical future pathogens scientists believe could someday jump from animals to humans.
DIOSynVax partnered with CEPI — the global vaccine alliance funded by Gates and deeply tied to the COVID pandemic response — the global vaccine alliance heavily backed by billionaire technocrat Bill Gates and deeply embedded within the same international pandemic infrastructure that dominated the COVID era.

Lebanon entrusted to Mary in a powerful national consecration | Shalom World News
In a nation still marked by the scars of conflict, fear, and deep uncertainty, the Maronite Patriarchate in Bkerké led Lebanon in a solemn act of consecration, entrusting the country to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Against the backdrop of a land burdened by war and its lingering destruction, a procession of faith set out in prayer toward the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa. Clergy and faithful walked together as the wounded nation prayed for healing—its streets echoing not only with hymns, but also with the silent weight of loss, displacement, and longing for peace. The march became more than a ritual; it was a collective cry rising from people seeking refuge, unity, and hope. As Lebanon faces the fragility left by years of turmoil, the pilgrimage to Harissa stood as a powerful symbol of endurance, placing a nation’s brokenness into the hands of the Virgin Mary and invoking her intercession for …More

Leo XIV Accepts Concept of "Gender" in Encyclical

Leo XIV’s first encyclical Magnifica Humanitas adopts the ideological concept of “gender”. Depending on the language, translations are different.
Paragraph 79 is about social justice: “It aims to mend broken bonds and reintegrate those who have been excluded, taking into account the wounds caused by injustices, such as wars, colonialism, racial or gender discrimination, violence against entire peoples and exploitation.
The used term “gender” is not a neutral vocabulary. It is the linguistic framework to separate the natural sex from a self-attributed category.
Until Leo XIV, the term gender was carefully quarantined or rejected - even in the Francis’ Vatican. Amoris Laetitia (2016) used the word “gender” in quotation marks and rejected it as “an ideology that denies the difference and natural reciprocity of man and woman.”
Cardinal Tucho Fernández signed Dignitas infinita in 2024, which explicitly condemned gender theory.

THE FEAR OF CONSENTING OR OF HAVING CONSENTED TO TEMPTATIONS....

The Three Ages of the Interior Life

PART 4
The Unitive Way of the Perfect
Ch 37 : The Transluminous Obscurity
We have seen that the spiritual light of the gift of understanding, which is given to the soul in the passive purification of the spirit, enlightens it regarding the infinite majesty of God on the one hand, and, by contrast, regarding its own poverty and wretchedness.
Our problem now is why this infused purifying light manifests itself as darkness. Why does it give the impression of a great darkness and why does it at times cause great suffering?
There are three reasons for it, which are pointed out by St. John of the Cross and more readily understood with the help of the theology of St. Thomas Aquinas. A great light gives the impression of darkness because of its very strength and of the elevation of its object. Moreover, it makes us suffer because of our impurity and weakness, which we feel more keenly under certain temptations of the devil that occur in this period.
THE EFFECT OF TOO GREAT A LIGHT
