Riposte Catholique, a French traditionalist Catholic news website, temporarily ceased publication in March 2026 following serious internal disagreements over its editorial direction. Guillaume de Thieulloy, the site’s long-time publication director, later stated that the suspension was connected to major difficulties within the organization. During the hiatus, a former collaborator apparently launched a competing website under the same Riposte Catholique name, using the domain without a hyphen (ripostecatholique.fr), while its management remained publicly identified only as the “Collectif Riposte Catholique.” In response, de Thieulloy relaunched the original hyphenated site (riposte-catholique.fr) on 25 June 2026, presenting it as the authentic continuation of the publication.
